With a smart enough proxy, you can do anything

This session will introduce a proxy which understands the postgres protocol and lets you fail connections at any point, we've been using it at Citus to ensure Citus does the right thing during simulated network failures. This has been very useful for us, and might also be useful for anybody who wishes to better understand the postgres protocol.

We'll use the proxy to explore (with a live demo where definitely nothing will go wrong) how psql, pgbouncer, logical replication, and some parts of Citus look "on the wire".
