I am an infrastructure engineer and a first-time user of PostgreSQL. I work for a company called PlanGrid, and we are creating productivity software for the 10 trillion dollar construction industry. Our mission is to be the record set for every job site in the world. At PlanGrid, I've had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects such as helping to migrate our applications to kubernetes and building an asynchronous report generation system. But my first experience with Postgres was when I performed a column type migration on our largest production table. This project introduced me to the world of PostgreSQL, and since then I have joined a small team of engineers that manage our primary database at PlanGrid. I'm excited to keep learning as I work more with Postgres.
