PostgreSQL is a very powerful tool, and with great power comes great responsibility. This talk will cover a sample of things that you can do as a Postgres Administrator that you really should not do. Some of these "techniques" can help you in a jam. Using the COPY command to reload your config file. Others are pretty useless but amusing. 'DELETE FROM pg_class;' doesn't stop the postmaster from running. However, it will result in you having an awful day. Watch as I smash Postgres with a virtual hammer in hopes that others do not.
