From Inclusion to Involvement

The PostgreSQL Community is making great improvements with accessibility and inclusion, which is encouraging to see. However, bringing people in is the start of the process, not the final goal.
Once people have joined, whether through attending a user group or a conference, or participating in a mailing list discussion, those of us already here need to be sure that we provide tools and direction to help people find their way to participate fully in the manner that is suitable and meaningful for them.
When you don't know what it is that you don't know, you need someone who does know to fill in those blanks and point you in the right direction. Let's talk about what those blanks are from the perspective of someone new to the community. I'll share my ideas for what they are and how to fill them in, and let's see what other ideas we can come up with together.
