Greg Potter is the author of pgmt, an open-source PostgreSQL schema migration tool written in Rust. Building it has taken him deep into pg_catalog, pg_depend, and how PostgreSQL tracks schema dependencies under the hood — including the edge cases that don't show up until you try to use the catalog as a source of truth. In his day job, he is a Principal Engineer working for a NYC-based fintech, where he has worked with Postgres in production for the last ten years. He lives in New York.
