Stephen Brandon currently leads distributed data SRE teams at a large tech company. He has spent the past decade building and operating production systems backed by Postgres, from self-managed deployments on EC2 to managed Postgres on RDS and globally replicated Aurora Global Database. He focuses on the practical tradeoffs behind infrastructure decisions, especially the ones that show up later as cost, reliability, operability, and pager load.
