David Wein is a Principal Engineer at Databricks, where he works on Lakebase. His interests are in performance, transaction management, recovery, open source collaboration, and anything that helps Postgres be enterprise-grade. Before Databricks, he spent nine years at AWS, including leading the initial launch of Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL. He has nearly 30 years in relational database internals, with earlier work on SAP HANA, Sybase IQ, and Sybase ASE.
