Erin Mikail Staples is a seasoned developer experience engineer who has spent her career arguing that "read the docs and hope" isn't a learning strategy. At Tiger Data, she serves as a voice of the user, leading developer education and shaping the docs, tutorials, and tooling engineers reach for instead of dread.
A contributor and maintainer to open-source projects across the data and AI ecosystem, Erin has also taught as an adjunct instructor at NYU's Graduate School of Arts and Science. She geeks out on the intersection of AI, developer education, and the unglamorous work of filtering signal from noise.
Outside of the day job, Erin is a stand-up comedian and comedy writer based in NYC. She's built robots that roast and models that cause mischief, work that's captured the attention of the Financial Times, the New York Times, and her mom's dog's Instagram.
