A 22 year experienced technology professional with a success in leading or managing highly visible, complex data architecture design and production support tasks across multiple reference architectures. After having spent 20 years solving difficult performance problems, platform modernizations and migrations to Oracle from various other platforms, my focus is now shifting toward migrations off of Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server onto PostgreSQL and Google's AlloyDB. My goal is to translate this knowledge of these other platforms in order to make the transition to PostgreSQL easier for the community at large.
I have also previously presented at Oracle Open World on the topics of Migrations, Platform Modernization to Engineered Systems, XMLDB and replication products such as GoldenGate. I also enjoy blogging on all of the interesting topics that I encounter in the database technology space.
