Andy Pavlo is an Associate Professor with Indefinite Tenure of Databaseology in the Computer Science Department at Carnegie Mellon University. He is also the co-founder of the OtterTune automated database optimization start-up (https://ottertune.com) and executive producer with the OtterTune Records hiphop/database-themed music label (https://ottertune.bandcamp.com).
