I am a full time database specialist at Adyen and enjoy pushing the limits of our hardware to keep up with our demands. We might not have the biggest PostgreSQL databases of the world, but we definitely have one of the larger, critical PostgreSQL databases of the world. Loosing data is not an option and neither is (unplanned) downtime.
Because of our scale and high load we face problems nobody has seen before. Sharing our experience in researching and tackling these issues is one of the contributions we are making to the Community.
