In this presentation an overview of the Crunchy Containers for PostgreSQL will be discussed, demonstrating how microservices can augment running PostgreSQL within a container environment. Generic patterns for running, administering, and monitoring PostgreSQL in container environments like Redhat Openshift will be demonstrated. Crunchy provides a collection of containers for PostgreSQL that are open source, and support various container deployment models and environments. Advanced subjects such as service discovery, failover, and persistent storage will be discussed as well.
