The rise of PostgreSQL in the enterprise is paralleled by the wide acceptance of Cloud services, non-relational data stores, and highly scalable architecture. It is fortunate that just as we see increased attention on open source solutions, the Postgres community has gained a truly staggering number of core features and extensions, and PG10 may just be the best release we've seen yet! The data landscape has expanded considerably in the last decade, but the value of relational data has never been clearer.

Phil can be found extolling the virtues of the world's most advanced open source database as a member of pgMKE: the Milwaukee Postgres User's Group. His presentations at prior PostgresOpen conferences include Full Text Search in Postgres, and Production-ready Postgres databases on Docker.
