This half-day training session focuses on database in containers and the possibilities. The training begins with an introduction to containers, orchestration, Kubernetes and Helm charts. Once this foundation is established, the session will dive into a history of database in containers and cover the limitations that had to be overcome to make this viable for the mainstream. We'll then cover the container database landscape today, drawing on the experiences of EnterpriseDB, detailing some customer implementations in the process. Finally, we'll define and deploy a container-based high-availability architecture and demonstrate the capabilities.
